Moving from their teenage lives where Birdy tended birds and Al toughen himself to withstand his father’s cruel beatings and the post war trauma as Al tries to bring his friend back to reality. Birdy examines their acceptance of each other’s “specialness” and shares all our hopes that friendship and love can help reals the very real trauma’s of war
