Kash Goins (Brutus Jones) is a Delaware resident who was born and raised In South Philly as the youngest of five boys. He first appeared with Iron Age Theatre in THE LIFE OF JOHN HENRY. He is the vision behind GOKASH Productions and the amazing Philadelphia Urban Theatre Festival. He has always had a penchant for acting and producing plays, evident by the improv skits and impromptu plays he would “produce” on the streets of Point Breeze and Moore with family and friends as a grade school attendant. He didn’t pursue his first formal acting experience until he was a sophomore at Lincoln University, landing a role as George Murchinson in “Raisin in the Sun”. In his very next campus production he landed the lead in RIVER NIGER, a part created by his theatrical idol James Earl Jones. After graduation he was fortunate to gain work as a member of Freedom Theatre, where he was directed by his mentor Walter Dallas in SPARKLE, THE MUSICAL, LAZARUS, UNSTONED, and THE BLUEST EYE. In 2008 Kash founded GoKash Productions and has mounted two plays, the 2009 NYC Downtown Urban Theatre Festival Best Play winner VI DEGREES, and the hilarious comedy MAN, I SHOULDA PUT A RING ON IT!. He is a prolific playwright and director. He has also recently been seen as Walter Lee in Stagecrafter’s RAISIN IN THE SUN and Reuben Tate in Allens Lane’s ZOOMAN AND THE SIGN. Kash thanks GOD for continued opportunities for creative expression and is ever so thankful for this magnificent journey with Iron Age!
Luke Alan Moyer (Smithers) is thrilled to be working with Iron Age Theatre for the third time and honored to be a part of such a talented cast. He was previously seen on the Iron Age stage as Damon Runyan in MOLUMBY’S MILLION by DW Gregory and as Ward in the Acclaimed THE REAR COLUMN. Luke graduated from Villanova’s Theatre Masters Program in May of 2009, where he was the recipient of the Brian G. Morgan Acting Scholarship. His credits include Jamie in A LONG DAY’S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT, Pontagnac in LE DINDON, Vertumnus and others in METAMORPHOSES, Matamore in THE ILLUSION, and Sir Toby Belch in Delaware Shakespeare Festival’s TWELFTH NIGHT. He has also staged his own solo performance piece, The Hardest Working Man in Show Business. Luke thanks John and Randy for the chance to help bring this play to life and Renee for all of her love and support.
Tiffany Joyner (Old Woman/Witch Doctor/Ensemble) has returned to the stage after a brief hiatus to explore her writing talents. Her 2nd produced play, APOLOGIES ARE FOR THE LIVING has experienced a very successful run throughout 2010. It has been peformed throughout the Philadelphia area in several venues this year: Philadelphia Urban Theatre Festival (Adrienne Theatre), the Art, Life , Action, Theatre Celebration at the Shubin Theatre(Philadelphia), and at the Independent Voices Festival at The Centre Theater in Norristown. Her most recent onstage role with Iron Age Theatre was Native Woman in The Rear Column. She has also done work in several theatres throughout the Philadephia Metropolitan area: Allens Lane (The Colored Musuem) The Drama Group (For Colored Girls..., Home) and she first made her debut at the Iron Age Theatre in her role as Kazara in Coming of the Hurricane. She feels honored at the opportunity to once again work with individuals who take theatre and its message seriously. She is also thankful to God for the many talents and gifts he has blessed her with throughout the years.
Richard Steven Bradford (Lem, Jeffrey, Ensemble) is happy to be a part of THE EMPEROR JONES. Rich is a diligent actor, taking roles all over the region in works including THE LIFE OF JOHN HENRY, JUNETEENTH, A SOLDIER’S PLAY, THE COLORED MUSEUM and many more. If it wasn’t for finding Johnny Hobbs at Freedom Theatre and pushing himself to grow in other productions such as DEATH OF THE BLACK JESUS, STREAMERS, TWELFTH NIGHT, RAISIN IN THE SUN, FENCES, A.B.R., ANNA IN THE TROPICS and WIT and many others, he doesn’t think he would here tonight. Thanks to my FB family for their support and love, and to God, with whom I have a special relationship that only he and I can understand, and Peace and Joy to my Bright-eyed Fans who have always seen the best in me.
