Bob Weick (Mick Dowd) - Bob is an Iron Age Vetran currently touring the country with "MARX IN SOHO." Philadelphia credits include Philadelphia Theatre Company "ACCORDING TO GOLDMAN, AFTER ASHLEY ], WAIT! with ESP at Theatre Catalyst, Triangle Theatre [ where he studies with George DeCenzo] , The Phila. Fringe Festival [ THE CALLING a Prior Circumstances production with Celeste Walker] and most notably with Iron Age Theatre [ Captain Scott,TERRA NOVA, Slim,OF MICE AND MEN, Huck in BOYS IN AUTUMN. Along with the exceptional cast of Terra Nova Bob's portrayal of Antarctic explorer Captain Robert Falcon Scott earned him a Barrymore Nomination, Best Ensemble,2003, under the direction of Randy Wise and John Doyle. A few favorite regional productions , include: Proof, Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune, The Laramie Project, Gross Indecency,The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, The Scarlet Letter, The Lonesome West , also by Martim McDonough. By Bob has also appeared on TV and been featured in the Independent films BERENICE, CONSPIRACIZED, THE TICKING MAN and the soon to be released, DEVILS HALF ACRE. When not onstage or in front of the camera Bob serves the equine community of Bucks County Pa. as a Farrier
Adam Altman (Mairtin ) Adam Altman is proud to be making his Philadelphia area stage debut with the Iron Age Theatre. He lighting designed Iron Age’s recent revival of Shakesploitation! and is excited to be performing with this talented and gracious cast and crew. Adam obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Performance from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA. Adam has also studied acting at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. In addition to Seton Hill, Adam has performed at the Greensburg Civic Theatre, Apple Hill Playhouse, Mozart Hall, and at theme parks Idlewild Park, Santa’s Village, and Buckskin Joe Frontier Town. Some of Adam’s favorite past roles are Feste in Twelfth Night, Mr. Zuss in J.B., Torvald in A Doll House, Orlando in As You Like It (Seton Hill University), Rev. David in the Foreigner, and Antony Wilding in Enchanted April (Apple Hill Playhouse). Aside from acting, Adam has worked behind the scenes as a lighting designer, electrician, carpenter, and stage hand with such theatre companies as, Apple Hill Playhouse, the Palace Theatre in Greensburg, Opera Theatre of Pittsburgh, and the Pittsburgh City Theatre. In 2004, Adam received the Peggy Ezekiel Award of Distinction in Student Lighting Design from the Ohio Valley Region of the United States Institute of Theatre Technology for his work on Seton Hill’s production of Proof. Adam is one of the founding members of Wolfgang Amadeus Productions (WAP), a small production company specializing in dinner theatre in Latrobe, PA.
Susan Giddings (MaryJohnny Rafferty) is pleased to be making her debut with Iron Age Theater in a play by one of her favorite playwrights. Last season she appeared as Aunt Ellen in the Irish Repertory Theatre of Philadelphia’s production of THE WHITEHEADED BOY. Area theaters where Susan has worked include the Lantern, Theatre Exile, Wilma, Bristol Riverside, Celebration Theater of Lansdowne, Allen’s Lane, Hedgerow, and Villanova. Some favorite roles include Jean Brodie (THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE), Judith (HAY FEVER), Eleanor (THE LION IN WINTER), Doctor (AGNES OF GOD), Bella Manningham (ANGEL STREET), Madame Arcati (BLITHE SPIRIT), and Scrooge (A CHRISTMAS CAROL).
Markus Zanders (Thomas ) Markus is a vertran of Iron Age Theatre performing as Oats in the Barrymore Nominated TERRA NOVA and as Carlson in OF MICE AND MEN. Recently, he played Claudius and Thug one in the Fringe Festival hit SHAKESPLOITATION. Although he hails from the Philly area and is a graduate of Temple University, Markus has tramped across the states performing at the Blue Ridoe Theater Festival in the COMPLETE HISTORY OF AMERICA…. ABRIDGED and with JMTWSRKS Theater Company in Pittsburgh performing IT's A WONDERFUL LIFE and LITTLE ROCK. He's also toiled as a Mad Scientist in San Diego California and can be seen in television ads across the country as "The Goodwill Guy." for Goodwill Industries. He was part of the world premiere production of I'll Be Seeing You at the Kimmel Center. He is an teacher and has been Improvisation Instructor with the Kids: Heart of the Arts program at the Montgomery County Cultural Center.
