In 1989 and 1990, Iron Age Theatre produced two children's theaters based on classic folktales. The production did not simply present the stories to the children but attempted to expose the children to theater through the tales. Great Works Like John Henry, How The Bobcat Lost His Tail, The Giving Tree, How The Leopard Got His Spots and Casey at The Bat came to life before the children.
